A New York City Break

It felt like we really needed a holiday, a change of scenery and energy.

A trip to New York City would most certainly give us all that little jolt we needed, the big city edginess kept us on our toes for sure!

Staying in Brooklyn this time gave us a base close to Manhattan but perfect for exploring Williamsburg and the rest of the borough. We sampled our way though the delights of all the thrift stores we could, pizza to quite literally die for (L’Industrie & John’s of Bleecker we’re winking at you here,) baked goods galore and the most incredible book stores.

It feels like there’s never quite enough time to see everything you’d like to as with most trips, especially visiting all the bookmarked food stops on my list. Saying that, we ticked soooo many boxes that we left nourished both in the tummy and the heart.

I hope you enjoy these snapshots of our trip :)

New York we’ll see you again my dear friend. Next time though, I’ll wear comfier shoes.

The vodka pep slice and the classic cheese slice from L’Industrie. Pretty hard to beat in the 718!
