Alfred place gardens
I was thrilled to embark on a commission for architects LDA Design, tasked with capturing the essence of a newly redesigned public space in the heart of Camden, London. Nestled in what was once a congested dead-end area dominated by bustling traffic, the space has been transformed into a tranquil, pedestrian-friendly oasis where both workers and the public can now enjoy the peaceful environment.
My brief was clear yet exciting - to encapsulate the vibrant life of the revitalized public space and translate this vision into a series of photographs and a captivating short film. This visual narrative would not only showcase the innovative design aspects but also spotlight the organic interactions of individuals as they engage with the space, fostering a sense of community and tranquility amidst the urban landscape.
From the subtle play of light and shadows on the architectural elements to the organic flow of movement as people navigated the space, my goal was to capture the harmony between urban infrastructure and human interaction.
In very exciting news this project is to be featured in a new book entitled Contemporary Landscape Architecture - Masterpieces around the World, published by Braun. Coming soon!
A short film created for use across LDA’s social media platforms.
